The Beast ( a poem by twisted)

you're always dreading the day when
the beast you locked down deep
escapes and learns to control you more
shaking off the heavy chains from his sleep

they call you out on your secrets
but the monster is only yours to bear
you are its mother, its lover, its host
it won't stop now, no, it wouldn't dare

The beast is invisible
The monster is clever
Promising you you're empty, vain desire
To be as light as a feather

What will it take to sooth the beast
i cannot teach you to kill
for now, it will eat away at you
so let him have his fill.
